The lowest (regular) gasoline prices that you've ever seen in the USA? - What are the gasoline prices in your area now?
The prices of gasoline are riduculously high, ie. over $4/gallon.
Have you even seen 99 cents/gallon in this country?
What were the lowest gasoline prices that you saw
10 or 15 or 20 or 25 or ... years ago in this country?
Here is a dream deal:
************************************************** *
Anyone remembers this?
************************************************** *
How about prices of gasoline in Canada, Britain, Germany, France, Italy....., Japan, China, ...?
Shall I ever see you on the '99cents/gallon' Side of the Moon?

Isn't the US one of the cheapest places to buy gas in the world? Not much to complain about, relatively.

Try £1.15 for petrol and £1.29 for diesel in UK...per litre.

If it's any consolation, you pretty much have to drive (in the US) to get anywhere.

I don't think that this is the case any more. It's damn expensive over here.

This would yield more than $6/US gallon. Let someone give more precise estimate.
US gallon = 3.785 liters.

It's relatively cheap, compared to other countries (excluding the OPEC countries). The US is 108th most expensive and 44th cheapest on this list over at CNN.
The gas prices over here (in Queens, New York) are at least $4.09 per gallon for unleaded. I can only remember it being around $1.20 sometime around 1998-2000. It seems like a dream now.. :/
Edit:
According to CNN, it's $8.38 per gallon in the UK.

It was around 1.29cdn a litre. Don't know what that works out to a gallon. Quite a bit more I think. I forget how many litres to.....3.75? The differences are mostly taxes.
Edit: I think it works out to around $4.70cdn per gallon.

I paid $3.86 this morning, but there are stations that are at $4 already. I have a Mobil Speedpass, but I refuse to pay them what they are charging. (Mobil is about the highest around, at least in our town.)
I remember my mom buying gas at $.29/gallon back in the 60's. When I started driving it was around $.80 or so.

Are you sure? Was it in 1996 or 1956?

1 US gallon is about 3.75 liters.
One US gallon = three liters and three quarters of a litre.

Check the above link, here in the Netherlands we complain and it seems we have a right to, unlike the whiners on the other side of the pond.

In the Netherlands:
Euro 1.63 a litre = about $2.38 * 3.75= $8.93 a gallon

You guys complain about gas prices...seriously, look at the price of bottled water! It works out to be just as expensive as gas. Most bottled water is no cleaner than boiled water, especially if you live in places that have good quality water such as Vancouver.
I think I saw Evian being charged over $2 at the 7-11 for a 500ml bottle.
