Well First off I am sooooo super excited!!!!!

anyway My friend and I were always playing with the idea of shooting out to Vegas for a weekend but that never happened. one day last week he told me he is going with his girl in late august and a bunch of her friends and told me to, well let me think about that.....sure!


I am not a gambler (yet..oh no) so I probably won't be in the Casino much (unless the rumor of free drinks at the $.25 slot machines are true).we all are mostly going for the dance clubs and to just act wild and party and that good stuff. But to me personally I feel like this is the closest I will ever come to my dream (my dream is to see the rat pack on stage back in the day...yes it is) since they all roamed and hung out there in Vegas. of course Vegas changed totally and I accept that but at least its closer then Chicago is (which they were in Chicago a few times also.).

So we all (15 of us) are flying out of Midway Airport (5mins away from my house and my parents bar...start the drinking in Chicago for FRee!!!..lol) then shooting strait over to the Land of Las Vegas. we are all staying at the Mirage and they (the other 14) are sharing like 4 or 5 rooms. I am alone in mine only cause If I am going on Vacation I am going to do what I want when I want...I will hang and party with them but if there is something we dont agree to do then I hope they have fun doing their thing cause I aint no part of it...get me?

anyway how much money do I bring? I will be staying there 4 nights,3 days.
Anything FRank or rat pack I can see? I was thinking of seeing Wayne Newton only cause he used to play the strip back when the Rat pack played the strip also...anyone know how easy it is to get tickets there?
anything else I should know?

Heh, I've been to vegas, pretty cool place, was there in 2k2 and 2k4. I am just going to guess that after your first 5 tries on the slots, the best thing you can do is probably stay away from the casino (not like you can, they make it so you have to walk through them to get anywhere in the hotels / to outside of the hotels.) I suggest you visit all the hotels, and roam around the strip, most people don't stay in their hotels, they instead walk to other hotels (some like the MGM and New York New York (I believe it's those two) are linked together by a bridge or something of that sort.) You might also end up gambling in another hotel as well.

I'm so over Vegas.

Too many trade shows there.

And since I'm a nonsmoker, it makes just about every part of Las Vegas unpleasant for me.

But bring your cigars, Billy boy, it's a smokers paradise, there!

If you are remotely into Star Trek, be sure to check out the Star Trek Experience at the Hilton.

There is of course the Qualia Store (if its still there) at Caesars.

There is a fun pirate stunt show in front of Treasure Island.

I'm guessing you will be seeing shows like Blue Man Group and Celin Dion as well.
