Google bombing and other manipulations

I thought that this NY Times story about Google bombing was pretty interesting -- and it talks about some google searches that have previously been discussed on this forum.

I would like to read that article. I hate it when these outfits want a person to register just to read something.

I think this link should not require registration. Please let me know if it works.

nope!

I won't read it either. I refuse to register in order to read an article.

I'm thinking about registering. I have a quick question for Music Fanatic.
Do they send you many emails that are worth reading? I ask because my annoying website email address is kind of a pain in the butt to check emails at. That's why I use it for cases like this. But if New York Times sends out interesting stuff and not much at that, I would use my more accessible email address.

They never send me any e-mails. OK. Here is a link that should definitely work:

LOL. Funny stuff.

Some people have waaay too much time on their hands.

Looks like Google fixed the French Military Victories search.

Oh yes, there are people with too much time on their hands.
Good article though. (no I didn't register)
It may be a fad, but I doubt it will ever go away completely.
I see it as one of those fun things about the internet.
