The final battle itself isn't hard, especially if your major characters know Ultima. And don't forget to get the equipment that lets you attack 8x, cast magic twice, cut your mp cost to 1, etc. Those things are essential for getting through the dungeon. (There are sub-bosses there that will destroy you if your characters are weak)
