Thanks Jude - all seems OK now - I suspect my subscription expired during the downtime - hence no bold type. I will of course renew this.

Mods: Any success in isolating the problem with the mail daemon (or module) not working?

TIA,
Chris

Luckily there is an easy fix for this. Download your own avatar and repost it. Despite the aspect ratio change on the display, my avatar was downloaded with the original ratio intact. Loading it up fixed it. No fuss, no muss

Hmm... I'm having a problem with being directed to that page that showed while the site was down ocassionally. Maybe that's just something with my browser?

I can't post in the FS forums even though I have more than 80 posts.

cache pragma or page expiration behavior seems to have shifted significantly - I find myself having to manually refresh pages far more often now than before.

I'm sure you're aware that searching is horribly broken but to me it looks like a set of configuration issues rather than an 'every url has changed' issue.

Specifically it seems to throw away search strings with mixed alphanumerics which for this forum is a crippling shortcoming. I'm not certain that it's throwing away all of them, but sure seems to throw away a lot of them. A search for "pfr-v1" returns nothing, for example. Maybe it's throwing it away because of the nonalphanumeric hyphen?

it also seems to be presuming an OR operator in all cases when searching for more than one string, whereas before it seemed to always presume AND.

AudioCubes2 declined to cancel my order, then lied to me and told me it had already shipped a full business day before the date on the shipping label.

I can now post in the FS forum. Thanks a bunch Jude for the quick fix on the forum access and the site in general.

All the usual smilies are gone, if any member ishady doing them, it will be a help to post them to see if the Restoration-Fi group will include them...I know that there will be hundreds of other more important problems, but an easy fix will be a good tarting point ot begin to eliminate the problems....
