In case this is interesting to anyone: It just arrived. 36h since I ordered, from Hong Kong to Switzerland. Pretty fast The little cardboard box was pretty beat up, but the amp inside is protected by foam, so nothing happened to it from the outside. Shipping included a (fake?) leather bad, USB cable, USB Powersupply (useless to me due to connector, unless you get an adapter, but that's as expensive as a new USB poweradapter), a TOSlink to TOSlink cable (no miniplug), a badly printed inkjet manual paper bit, the roll opamps inside a plastic box, with a torx tool and extra screws inside and a short analog audio minijack to minijack cable.
It is happily charging now and I can't test it ... no headphones at work, bleh....

Btw, what charger comes with the D10? Is it universal?
I'm awaiting my D10 now. Wonder if I need an another cable/adapter or something to make it work.

Universal as in Voltage, yes ... it say 100-240 V on it .. but it has a fixed, two pin flat connector ... useless to me. Then again it has no cable attached: It is just a USB-connector Powersupply, that you can buy anywhere for little $$$. You can use any USB charger I guess. And it has no CE Symbol

Thanks. If I understand you correctly, I need something like this?
One more thing, if the D10 is connected to to my PC(for dac/amp use), can it charge from the computer? Also, does the D10 always use battery power? Not USB power?

I just got mine today, and I'm assuming that you can use USB to trickle charge the unit, since it's the mini-USB connector that you use if you're plugging it into the wall too. I haven't recharged it yet. The battery came with some charge, so I'm listening to it a little with my ESW9's while I'm sitting here at work. Woo!

Right. The one from iBasso states 5V/1000mA ... since it's USB, there must be some rules for power here, so I guess you can buy anything USBish without damaging the unit.

Yes. It has a specific Charge switch to do so.

Hm, good Q. No idea. Anyone?

If I'm reading jamato8's post from the other thread right, it apparently runs on battery unless you are using the DAC via USB.

No problem! Hope you enjoy them!
Mine are hooked up here at work running some pink noise. Of course, like most of my upgrades I'm now considering purchasing a desktop amp for the rig in my bedroom and another set of earphones or headphones. Why I need 2 portable amps and a desktop amp when I live by myself in a small apartment...I'm not sure. LOL

By the way, is 6 hour charging time really correct? Mine has been charging for 7 hours with my computer via USB, and the orange light is still on.

The orange light isn't the indicator, the red one is and often the red one doesn't go out anyway. A couple of hours is all you need.

From the manual: "When the charge lamp turns to an orange color, the D10 starts charging. At the point the charge lamp goes off, the battery is full."
Huh? So what is the orange light for at the back? I thought my D10 was charging, since the orange light is on. I haven't seen a red light. And yes, the charge swithch is on.

I don't know. The orange light is right above the USB connection and it is always orange if the USB is plugged in. The red light is below the switch for on or off. When my D10 is fully charged the red will go out sometimes and won't come on until the battery has drained some. Maybe you got your fully charged but I have no way of knowing.

That is funny, since the manual is quite incorrect with the orange light quote I posted.
I just figured something out. I just flicked the charge button on/off, still only orange light. Then I tried to turn the D10 unit on, and voila, the red light on the back is now on! So now it's finally charging, lol. I turned the D10 off right away though. I figure it's best off, while charging.
