Default The best amp for Metal / Techno?: Leckerton Audio UHA-3

Oh Leckerton Audio, where have you been all these long years?

I know I haven't been around this forum very long, but there seems to be a stigma out there about 'bassy' amps. This of course has its merits, if a products main selling point is that it may force you to void your bowels at high volume, this is something we know to avoid. And I think unfortunatly that has sort of carried over to encompass ALL bassy amps.

Trying to find an amp that works SPECIFICALLY with the bass heavy musical genera (i.e. DeathMetal, Dark Techno, Hip-Hop, and Drum and Bass) has been a real bitch. But found one I have.

The Leckerton Audio UHA-3.

This amp has been, by and large, dissmissed by the community as a whole. Unless of course I am totaly wrong, and in that case "Oops."

This is my very firstest amp review as a somewhat seasoned Head-Fi'er, so bring on any criticisms you may have.

I will continue to update as I break theses sweet babes in

Review #1)
Leckerton Audio UHA-3
Burn in time (Approx): 1 hour to charge

Appearnce: Silver, about the size of a deck of cards. Pretty much you standard hammond case.

Build Quality: Built like an aluminum tank, all connections tight, easy access to gain controls and what not. Can't talk about bat life, it hasent died on my yet.

Ease of Useability: If you can wipe your own butt, or even if you need a lil help now and again, you can use this amp just about anywhere.

Treble: Trebble is nice and even, no grain, and handles those pesky sibilants like a champ. The amp gives a very warm presance to human vocals. This is a good thing for the metal heads and ravers out there, it is clear and articulate without being too bright.

Mids: With the Leckerton, you are about to be taken on a ride. Punishing guitar rifts come out warm, full bodied, and the articulation on that epic solo is just phenomenal. You will start to notice that the bass guitar and rhythm guitar become particularly clear. Over all it is smooth, clean, warm, and when called upon can really take your metal or techno recordings to the next level

Bass: Oh bass! SO many hate you, but you are just misunderstood. The lecerton is an awsome amp just buy its other features. But what puts this amp apart is it can do something most amps avoied. The but the BALLS back into bass. The bass is very, very clear and very well articulated. And one of the most important parts about the Leckerton is that is thows out a HELL of a lot of presance. You FEEL each rapid fire kickdrum, and you can hear not only what the bassist is playing, but you FEEl it in your gut too, something I've only experiance at live show. If you like you metal black, your techno thumpin, this is your amp

Musicality: Compared to the AirHead and Icon mobile I had been listening to, this amp is downright lyrical. It also handles classical music and more contemporary music very well.

Sound Stage:The Leckerton has good sound stage, the best I can describe it is the listening experiance is like being front row at a show; Wide but very forward

A Fair Warning: If you really do not like a lot of clean areticulate bass with a BIG presance, just skip this amp. This was made with the electronic music geek and goth rocker to enjoy

In so far I have been listening through a well worn in Sr-125i's, and my loop of test songs was:

1- The Humptey Dance - Digital Underground
2- Brandenberg Concerto 4 - Bach
3 - HeavyWeight - Infected Mushroom
4 - Carmen - Boston Phil
5 - Other Side - Pendulum
6- Through the Fire and the Flames - Dragonforce
7- Dig - Mudvayne
8- Rocketman - Elton John
9- Spit Fire - Prodigy
10- Antipop - Primus

Any Test Song Suggestions?
