Hmm, the best sounding earbuds I have heard are the Sennheiser mx75s sport. They do luck some depth and the bass isn't very strong, but still the mids and highs on these are kinda comparable to my Senn HD555s, especially on classical music! Also I have heard that pmx70 sport are even better (have better bass, and richer sound). Both of these phones are also very durable and great for use while exercising.

Can't really tell what your point is. To me it doesn't look any worse than a Grado (except RS-1,RS-2, those babes look gorgeous). An earbud is an earbud is an earbud. As long as it sounds good it serves my purpose. Of course these words come from the owner of a series of fugly phones... . Personally I don't look at myself in the mirror when I listen to music, so it's a non-factor to me.

Koss can make an amazing phone for $13. It looks horrible and cheap but it sounds great. This thing is no different story.
Plus, I can't take a company seriously when they are offering some little trinket (that has nothing to do with audio) to sell you some headphones. I'm talking about that Chinese hanger thing they are referring as a 'free gift'.

I'm agreed with you !
earbud is an earbud, earbud not fullsize cans
but PK2 is an earbud which give SQ as fullsize cans
sometime, it's give SQ more than some fullsize cans

Ok, so what you're saying is that these China made earbuds will be better than my Audio-Technica (Made in Japan) Grados hand assembled (Made in USA) compared to these little plastics?
I'm not saying all Chinese things are bad. I'm just wondering about this specific earbuds lol. And can someone post a picture of the free gift they give you?

The free gift is the little lantern thing
And yeah, where its made really makes the littlest difference.. Its who makes it and whats in it
Hand assembled grado means soldering drivers and glueing them together.. How can anyone assemble it so that it sounds different?

Build quality doesn't even matter. Earbuds are mostly for portable listening. And with no isolation they lose more SQ than other portable phones. Even IEMs lose some SQ due to external sounds. That is why you hear about IEM's, canalphones, and small closed cans like the K81dj/HD25 way more than earbuds.
Earbuds are talked about least here because they have two flaws, unadjustable fit and no isolation. I wouldn't buy them. The right one would probably fall once in a while like other buds I've used and any noise would cancel out the increased SQ and reduce them to drawer duty.
In ear phones are the thing now. Everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. JBL, Bose, Harmon, Beyer, AKG, V-moda etc.

Don't bother.. cause they might break and you gotta send it back in again for a new pair. =\
I mean sure China can make good quality things like the UE Super.fi 5 pros.. but these look like a kid just assembled it.

well Nankai dropped off a pair at the minimeet in NYC, so i'm going to reserve judgment for a month or so and really get to know this pair of PK2 before posting impressions to be fair, and return em at the March regional.
here's a little taste tho - for some reason they sound better straight out of an ipod headphone out than amped by a Hornet, no joke. which makes dog walking far less cumbersome, hehe.

Hey Nenso, I'm pretty darn sure that by now you are what they call "thread crapping."
People here are smart enough to know what they wish to spend their money on for the most part, and in the end it is their judgment if they wish to buy these earbuds from China.

And if they end up not liking them, heck, they at least get a lantern.

I like how Todd is straight up about these. For the PK1 it says "*Head-amp or high output portable audio required" and that's true. The PK1 was almost maxing out my Hornet on its low gain stage (thank goodness it has two higher ones to spare!) but the PK2 is plenty efficient, about KSC75 level.

Lol...... ok.. hows your 2cent income.. you know the kiddies making these...
okok I'm done joking.. if both Krammer and Jahn decide to say they might be worth it... I guess I'll THINK about buying these if I get to demo them sometime later. lol.. still.. it doesn't matter if they sound good if they break right after.. but yea.. I'll acknowledge these once I try them and see.
