Just what I would like to hear.......or not I don't know how much longer I can resist.
That's so smart of Yuin to design their two earbuds in a way so people would eventually upgrade anyway.
I think my advice to head-fiers is to go straight for PK1 and don't buy the PK2 then

If you ever decide to let the DT531 go, shoot me a PM.

Sure, I'll keep that in mind Don't get your hopes too high though... unless the PK1 is better in all aspects than the Beyers (which might be true), it is highly unlikely that I will sell it.

Got my PK1 today.
Just one word:
WOW!
Now I finally have my portable (well, luggable) setup complete.
iAudio X5 > HeadRoom Micro/desktop > Yuin PK1 >
They are everything as good as people in this thread say they are.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I'm loving them without having heard them! -I mean how can you not love a set of small ugly earbuds that almost everyone gets surpirised & amazed by!
Anyways, a pair is on the way on trial for me, looking forward to hear them!

Fun stuff. I think my Pk1's are officially burned in now at around 200 hours. =T I don't use them for much listening, but they are very fun when I do use them.

I finally got a chance to try my PK1s running off of a T1 and they sound amazing. I'm running them from a Ipod 5 30GB and from the headphone socket to the T1 as I haven't managed to get a line out cable yet. The T1 fills in the bass nicely (I listen to Metal/Rock The Blackening and Burn My Eyes from Machine Head but also NIN Year Zero being used for "testing") without wiping out the top end or the mids. I also bought a pair of Atrio M5 which again sound amazing but I prefer the fit and sound of the PK1s through the T1.
Is there a player (flash/HDD) which I could drive the PK1s from without the amp and still get the level and quality of sound??
Thanks
Steve

If it helps, I think they're better than UE5c's. Better clarity, more soundstage (obviously), and a more defined bass.

Amazing PK1s
The SQ is just unbelievable.
One has to try them before deciding that earbuds are not his/her thing or that earbuds are not able of delivering that amount of quality.
Try them and probably buy them.
Since I received them I have listen to them using various amps.
The bitrate is critical and the power of the amp is also critical.
PK1s are able to reveal all defects in SQ.
By the way, I have been using a PRII, a Tomahawk a line out and e500, Etys e4P/S, Senns 650 and the PK1s.
They are worth.
Regards
