Default Yet another sub 100$ ear canal earbud thread, with one twist

Not so much of a twist, but I am particularly interested in people who have tried MULTIPLE products in this category.

I have heard great things about the sennheiser cx95s as well as the Denon AH551s

I liked the fact that both of these were reported to have decent bass compared to many models while maintaining good quality in the midrange and highs as well.

For the record I am not a bass freak, just want something capable of producing non anemic bass when needed.

But I am sure there are many others in this range that I am not aware of, the UE studio 3s were said to be good, same with the 6i, but I also heard reports of weak bass response.

Are the AH751s superior enough to have them shut out the AH551s?

Am I missing another set that is superior to all of these at/under/or around the 100 dollar mark?

It is hard to truly tell unless I can hear directly. To add to the confusion one of the reviews of the sennheiser cx95s on trusted reviews clearly favors them slightly over the Denon AH-551s, yet a cnet review favors the Denons.

..

Too many conflicting reports, it's maddening!

So I come to you now, seeking those rare few who are unusually knowledgeable about multiple entries in this category and have FIRST HAND listening knowledge that can give a useful opinion on the better options.

HELP !!!!!!!

The Denon C751's are the best SQ wise at around the $100 mark. No question. The Denon c751's have significantly more detail in the treble than the c551's but slightly less bass quantity. It's the same nice tight bass found in the c551's.

Cnet reviews are really not too good tbh (they rate the Denon c700's and the c751 differently even though they're the exact same product).

Anyway, some C751 with some Comply foam tips as the default Denon ones = a joke.
