Default What are the SA6 of portable mid/full size headphones?

I've been looking to compliment my SA6s at home and on the road. The SA6s are consider one of the best bang for the buck IEMs in terms of cost, sound quality, and comfort. What is the equivalent of Sleek Audio's SA6 in the portable mid/full size headphone market?

Some that I have considered in the $100 are:
Denon D1001
Sennheiser Pro HD280

I've also seen the Denon D2000s found for under $200 (like SA6s). Is it worth it to jump to that level without an amp?

I guess I should clarify that I'm not trying to compare a pair of headphones with IEMs. I'm just trying to find out which portable headphones are the best for the money.

As far as bang-for-your-buck is concerned, I'd look into the M-Audio Q40. The Denon 1001 is another consideration, to be sure, with unmatched comfort...but it has negligible isolation (rendering it a home-only headphone for me) and comparatively poorer sound quality.
