Westone 3 different packaging?
My friend bought some Westone 3s from Ebay but inside there is no case, ear wax remover, or different tips. Did he buy fake W3s?
WESTONE 3 Triple Driver In Ear True-Fit Earphones UM3 - eBay (item 350174416311 end time Apr-04-09 10:33:24 PDT)
Also, he tells me the cable is different and the actual packaging is different. It comes with plastic inside with 2 red peices of cardboard instead of the one big peice of red cardboard like here. They were sealed.

Image is what it should look like. I'll post a picture of his later when he takes one.

He has a very good rating and other buyers haven't complained about any W3 purchases.
Was it sealed when he received it, if so, it could just have been an oversight on Westones part, but if I were him, I'd contact the seller anyhow, as they were advertised as coming with all the accessories.

Packaging is pretty weak with W3 but everything looks there. I see a case plus tips plus earwax remover.

what type of seal? Some people are getting really good at resealing packaging now. I don't know what westone uses to seal their headphones, but the IE8s have a plastic band that you have to cut. From what I can tell that band can't be put back.
In any case contact seller.

The seal was generic plastic that was easily tearable and flimsy.

Original box comes sealed/ shrink-wrapped
You have Paypal protection and Seller must pay all shipping charges as well.

Just wanted to chime in here that there are indeed two different internal packaging styles, the one that is shown in the picture using the thin orange cardboard packaging in this thread and one that uses clear plastic packaging on the inside.
My original Westone 3 had the one in this thread and my replacement Westone 3 has the plastic packaging. I much prefer the plastic packaging.

Thanks for the info. I inspected his against mine and they are identical so he emailed Westone, and they will be sending him the accessories.
