No, you are not alone. I walked to the corner today to buy some lottery tickets ($275 million powerball) in a flight of fantasy, and I also had a moment where I thought, "Why do I even bother with the other portable phones I own?" and didn't have a good answer. The SA6s just sound fantastic across all the styles of music I favor, as I listen to a lot of playlists where styles are mixed.
One search that is over, I believe. Why would I want to spend more on a universal IEM when I think I hit the true sweet spot?

So I've had music playing for a couple of hours. I went upstairs and started gathering bowls and food to feed my pets. I suddenly literally stopped in my tracks and thought, "Good Lord these IEMs sound terrific!" Thanks, Sleek Audio!!!

I do that every night
After much tip swapping, I am now using the small double flange. I originally swapped from the medium double flange to the medium Klipsch ear gel, but found a deep insertion of the small double flange offers perfect comfort, a great seal, and awesome sound.
Would be interested to hear a bass++ port, but to be honest, I think the bass+ really hit my sweet spot.

I'm just waiting for Sleek to surprise us further when they release a bass++ port!

I had a chance to demo a coworker's super.fi 5EB shortly before I got my SA6's. From what I remember they had a bit more bass, but the SA6 has tighter more detailed bass if that makes any sense. You get more of the character of the drums being struck, etc.. and the weight and volume of it. The difference in bass wasn't huge though by any means. But the SA6 is in another league in all other areas of the spectrum. The detail and refinement is wonderful, and the fact that they do this while being so non-fatiguing at the same time is great for long listening sessions.
If you need more bass than an EQ off setting, they do take EQ very well- at least on my Vibez. I like to tune the bass frequency to 20hz, and just nudge it up somewhat. This really fills out the bass more without any midbass bloat.
Hope that helps.

Received mine from soundearphones.com great service. Arrived in 7 days. Can't argue with that.
So far, I'm enjoying them. With my Meizu MP3 player I leave them unamped. But, with the Ipod Classic, I feel the SQ improves with my Meier Corda XXS amp.
I've settled on the Treble ++ and Bass + ports with the large eartips or my old Ety tri-flanges.
Looks like they'll satisfy me for a while.

I just noticed something today. I can push the tips even deeper onto the earphones with about a couple millimeters of the nozzle sticking out. Using them like this, they actually go deeper into my canal (and thus stick out less).
I'm not sure if this is a very safe idea, though. I'm not sure about potential health risks for having it this deep with the nozzle sticking out like that. I'm not sure how close the nozzles are to my eardrums but I don't really want to find out.

Not from what I can tell. I actually think I just figured out that it sounds a bit more in-the-head and less airy/spacious when it's inserted deeper, which is not what I want. I think it did sound a little more "full" in a way where you would be closer to the music. But the distance from the music is one aspect that I really like the SA6 for.
So I'm going to stick with the normal way.

Hi all.
I've taken teh plung with a pair of SA6's. My goal is for them to be better than my E4c's with the GSP Voyager set to 'contour'. Will give you my view once I have had a play.
Certainly a novel approach to IEM design guys.

Hi all,
Can someone explain breefly the advantages of tuning the Sleek SA6 over software equalization?
On Headwize I read that listening on softer levels isn't dull if you use equalization (treble and bass boost). On this graph you can see why:
 .
If the advantage is huge, the Sleek might be an interesting IEM for listening at lower levels...

The most obvious reason is some DAPs don't even have EQ.
The second most obvious reason is some DAPs' simply have really bad EQ that you want to avoid at all time.
Also, It is not often that software EQing can change the sonic signature of a headphone by large degree.

How would the sound quality compare to the Klipsch Custom-2's? Would the SA6 provide more bass?
