Not yet, but I am going to meet up with a fellow Head-Fier here in Philadelphia who has the Images, but is considering the SA6s. We are going to do a compare, but just need to find the time. Right now, too busy.

Just tried something new and different. I have an old Riovolt MP3/WMA player in the house, so I got out some CDs, put one on (Ledisi's latest) and wow. All this discussion of FLAC, lossless, etc. But for just sitting at my desk and listening, tough to beat the aging CD for SQ. I realize this isn't any brilliant discovery, but sometimes we get so hung up with DAPs, we forget how good using a plain old CD sounds.

For listening to CDs with the SA6s (as opposed to mixes or random play), I think I am going to listen to CDs from now on.

Well, I'm getting impatient now. Tracking info stopped as of last Friday 22nd, the day after they were posted out via Express Mail International. I know it's only been a few days, but they haven't even reached the UK yet, and it will be at least another 2 days for them to get here after that. Normally, Express Mail gets here within 5 days and tracking info is updated each day. . . but there's been nothing since last Friday

Plus it makes it even worse as I'm really really really excited about getting them. And I'm curious about how they sound compared with the Image. I'm hoping for a clearer overall tone, less 'warm' than the Image, and with a 'wider' vocal presentation. I don't expect the bass to match the Image, but I'd be OK with that if everything else falls into place. But first they need to fall into the UK.

I want my SA6

EDIT: They're IN the UK, but damn Parcelforce doesn't know where they are! They arrived on 23rd Feb, but all they could tell me was they 'think' they might still be at the airport, but they can't be 'sure'.

Just what I wanted to hear

Ahhh! Fedex stopped by with my SA6 today, while I was home, and only left one of those dreaded "sorry we missed you" stickers behind. The reason? My doorbell is broken. What a time to find that out!

I hate when that happens. Fedex sometimes leaves a "business closed" hangtag, since we live in a locked/gated courtyard. Luckily, we're friends with the UPS guy, so he knows enough to drop it off at a neighbor's house. Can you retrieve them easily, or do you have to wait for tomorrow? Geez, I hope expectations aren't too high after all this. Not here, though. They exceeded my expectations.

I'd figure out where the office is that they take it back to for the remainder of the day, and go get it! Then you can post your impressions up tonight.

Oh, I'm ahead of you on that one... I just have to wait for my girlfriend to return with the car. This evening.

EDIT: Well, at least the treble++ tips Jason sent me are here...That's one part of the equation down. Thanks, Jason!

POST-EDIT: Sigh. The car arrived home too late. Looks like I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow night...

Hooray! My Sleeks arrived today via US Priority Mail. Took about a week...thanks to the swell guys at soundearphones

First impressions were very positive. The headphones sure looked unique, their design quite unlike most other headphones. The silver acents sure looked bling

I've been listening to them off and on for a couple of hours, and truth be told, they compare more than favourably with the 3 driver Triple-Fi Pro. I was using the Teble + tips and the default bass plug. Soundstage, imaging and clarity was excellent. The overall sound signature was very smooth. I found the default bass plug (bass = ) to be sufficient. It has nice punchy bass and does not muddy up the sound signature at all. I tried the bass + plug, but did not like it very much. The bass became too boomy for my taste.

I have to mention about the comfort. These things are fantastically comfortable! I was worried because I read that only bi-flanges were offered - my ears never liked bi-flanges much. Every single one I tried gave me an ear-ache after about 15 minutes. The Sleek's bi-flanges went in smooth as butter, and they provided excellent isolation and comfort. Tops!

One more thing...my package does not include the Treble++ tip. How do I get it? Do I just PM Sleek-Audio, and must I pay anything for them?

dscns: notice in your profile you've got a Portaphile, as do I. So how do the Sleeks sound thru the Portaphile?? Awaiting my Sleeks and the Triple Fi Pro from Soundearphones so I can A/B them both. But wondering how these Sleeks sound amped in your opinion

Yes, PM Sleek (Jason). They are supposed to be including them in new orders, but not sure when that went into effect. Many of us are waiting for them too.

Hmm, I might have to try the bass= module, just out of curiosity. I don't find the bass boomy on the Zune80, but on the Sony, it might be worth a try.

Concerning DAPs, while the Sony sound is good, I think the SA6s sound better out of the Zune. Can't say why just yet. Need to to more experimenting with the Sony EQ, because using it flat doesn't do justice to the SA6 potential in my view. More listening required, though.

Does anyone know if there is actually such thing as ++ ports for these or SA just replaced old + ports with the new version which is still labeled +?

I believe you are right. They replaced the old treble+ tubes with new ones, also labeled +.

Can someone from Sleek verify? I think the treble++ thing was just a working title. Of course, I could be wrong. Need someone to explain. I do know that Sleek has my address but I haven't seen any new treble tubes yet. I also believe the new treble+ tubes are black inside (the current ones are gray). In fact, I am positive about that.

Do the treble tips also act as filters?

The ++ treble as named by Kees in one of his original postings is sent in addition to the 3 that come standard. The ++ or extended high frequency tip is solid black for easy distinction. It will eventually be clear. The fact is you head-fiers liked the prototype version so much that we have decided to include it in all the orders.

Anyone that has not received them can PM me with their address or Michael from soundearphones and we can send them. He just received his shipment of the new ports.

This also leads to the ++ Bass port.... it does not exist We sent that as our original + port but decided it was to muddy and lacked the definition we were looking for. We immediately changed it and shipped new ports to anyone that had the originals.

Hope this helps.

Jason

I'm officially confused now. :P As far as the bass ports go, would I have the original "muddy" ports or the new ones? Are these "muddy" ports the ones Jude originally tried?
