In comparison, SA6 has a fuller/warmer mid, punchier bass, and harsher/edgier treble. PK1 is much more airy, less coloration, smooth and wider in soundstage. Although I do like SA6, PK1 is closer to my heart.
As kramer5150 once said (IIRC), it is hard to find any IEM less than $500 that can compete with a well amped PK1.

I did notice the exact same thing, and as your IEM FAQ says, wearing these with the cable over the ear removes a LOT of the cable noise!
