I personally feel the Comply T400 tips are too loose. Mine came in Thursday and I played with them this weekend. I am afraid they will come off in my ear, and I will not use them till I find a way to make them tighter. The Shure orange foamies stay on tight, once you force them on.

Hm. I wonder how the T-200s would be, then...If they can be stretched to accept the C700 barrel, I imagine they'd stay put (pure speculation here).

The Comply T400's fit fine for me. They're certainly staying on tighter than the standard silicone tips.

I asked this in my other thread, but I didn't really get any reply. I am just wondering, is the bass difference between the C700 and C551 big or small? From what I have read, it is relatively small, but the C700s are quite a bit clearer. Is the C551 a kinda basshead's 'phone (well, not exactly basshead, but a stronger than average 'phone)?

Thanks.

The quantity's about the same, but the C551 has stronger impact. Because the highs are not as detailed and present in the C551s, it can make the bass feel more prominent than any other frequency. I found the C700 had a more balanced overall sound, but I really liked the 551s. I had them as backup and my other half ended up with them, who IS a basshead, and is more than happy with them. The bass is not boomy at all, it's very tight and punchy (more so than the C700s), but I'd rather sacrifice a bit of bass impact for the C700's extraordinary treble twinkle. It floors me all the time.

But... if you're at all sensitive to treble, get the C551s. Less treble, bigger bass impact - C700s, better treble quality and detail, bass is not as tight, but it's still incredibly satisfying. You really can't go wrong with either one of them in my opinion. And the C751 is only $129 as Amazon.com, that's fantastic value... plus you get a case and extension cable. . . .yayyyyy!

Soozieq, i need another in-ear for work because i'm afraid to take my c751 which i like so much and don't want to lose/brake them. Are those c551 have similar sound quality as my c751 only with little less treble and more bass or is it less defined? I can get them cheap here - less then 80 euro (unlike the c751 which are a little expensive here - about 200 euro shipping included) and will be glad to try them if they really sound that good or similar enough.
