If it sounds better even without changing these then I'll get an SA6 right away and then fine tune it over time as needed (plus losing stuff is not an issue with me). I just want to make my decision and get one by this weekend before my next 15 hour plane ride on saturday.
Thanks a lot for the help.

I thought they sounded fine out of the box, but I quickly moved to the bass+ port and the treble+ tube (I think the neutral, or =, ones are standard). Not buying them because you don't like their out of the box setup isn't a good reason, in my view. I see the X5s are now in play, and they are supposed to sound pretty good too, but I haven't heard them. I don't believe you will be unhappy with the Sleeks.

They last 3-4 weeks or so, for me. You can't wash them (I tried and they lost all of their worth). They do isolate well, close to IEMs, but not quite. Any canalphones that have T400s are a little better than standard single flange silicone tips in my experience.

i think i'm going to end up going for the sleek SA6 and the fiio amp......just one last question....is it true that the storage case for the sleeks isn't too great?....not like this is going to affect my purchasing it but just asking for an opinion

Never used the case. I use a soft case I got with my Ety ER4Ps.

I think the case is a situation where a lot of clever design ideas have converged into something impractical. Securing the earphones in the proper way is such a time-consumer that my case was quickly relegated to shelf-duty. An Altoids-style tin works much better on a practical level, IMO. I'm currently using a black EarPod, which -- though it still takes a bit of maneuvering -- also works better than the stock Sleek Audio case.

I keep my SA6 in a new small style UE case. Yes, it's sacriledge, but the stock SA6 case is a hassle to use and screams "Coby" in the design department.

so judging by what u guys are saying....i wouldn't be doing much wrong by getting myself just a UE metal or leather case.....
also, would the sleeks fit in my old E2C round case? They have the spool thing in the middle but i'm pretty sure it can be removed.

Yes, they should fit fine in your E2c case, especially without the spool.

So frustrating to wait for my 5s! UPS doesn't help either. They are not giving me any info and the tracking number I received from the company that sold the phones.

Unfortunately I can't return my pros. I got them in May. Maybe I'll keep both or sell the pro. That is if i like the 5s better.

Just got back from a walk using the Sleeks, and they never fail to impress. Again, I use the olives with them. FYI, there are some tricks in terms in getting the olives off the treble tubes (a very tight fit), so any time you want to PM me for some info, feel free. That is, if you move to the olives.
Enjoy.
I still like the SF5s too, but the Sleeks, to me, are just a better phone.
