Haha you know if more people new this, earpeace would be going crazy right about now...shhh...our little secret! Everyone is always looking for a grado sound in a IEM...maybe we should spread the word more.

This actually worried me a little as i toy seriously with the idea of getting some LW's.
Grado's being open and all. I don't know. Im not a bass head, but like good low end definition.
I know there are countless reviews on LW's all over, but if someone with them could describes the Lows, Mids and Highs only using 3 words for each. That would be really great.

I'm interested in that as well. How's the bass quantity of the Livewires compared to say, the Atrios or X3i (lots), or the q-Jays or Ety ER6 (little)?

To the Grado haters: Have you ever heard a well burned-in high end Grado? If not, then what are you worried about?
Anyway, here are some tidbits and or comparisons I've made vs Super.fi 5 pro, Denon C700, Etymotic ER6i, Shure SE530, Triple.fi 10 Pro, which the Livewires beat all of them. (as well as keeping up with RS-2 with APS v3 cable and Ultrasone PL2500):

Well checked the mail today - nothing yet, I am still a bit worried as to why they aren't replying any emails, they must be busy!
I am estimating by the end of the week since I have their FedEx 2-Day service.
Sigh - LiveWires team where art thou?

$40 for the 2-Day FedEx, I want these ASAP, I've sent them payment and everything, and sent them about 3 emails since checking if they got my payment, if it was correct and how the earphones are going, and no reply. It's like they've just disappeared. It's a large amount of money I have parted with, so its only natural to be worried.
My pet hate is people who don't reply messages - text messages, emails, PMs etc, I just can't stand it!
Argh, each day, each hour becomes more and more harder to wait!

John/Art was supposed to get back at me relating health issues, but I haven't heard from them. They did attempt to call my house/cell (I'm at my university), so I believe that they received my impressions. I checked my credit card online, and $250 poofed. So what I'm thinking is that either they have problems with email, or they are really busy.

To the contrary, I find Livewires to be truly revealing of what they have delivered to them. They really do show you GIGO responsiveness. If you're not hearing much difference between amps or sources then I'd think your amps/sources aren't that different.
I can definitely hear very clear differences when I change amps (SR-71 vs either Hornet vs Tomahawk vs Mini3 vs etc, etc) when using highest quality source files - WAV/FLAC. When I switch to 320kbps mp3s they show me which amps are more (or less ) forgiving of the source files.

In keeping with my comments above that would be dependent to a greater degree by what they are fed.
For my best music, at highest quality through the SR-71 (which I'm listening to at the moment) I'd say:
Lows: rich; strong; smooth
Mids: engaging; palpable (vocals); real
Highs: crisp; clean; detailed

They are definitely NOT email people. They prefer phone contact and, yes, they are still a start-up company, meaning they generally have more work than staff to deal with it all. Communication can be s-l-o-w but they are good people who do try to catch up emails when they can.

FeedMeTrance's passionate keenness is enviable but this 'strength' is also his 'weakness', where it can be seen as impatience. We all know the money is safe, guys. They do deliver the product, sometimes after a slightly longer wait than anticipated. But they do deliver.
And I think we'd all prefer them, particularly during their business hours, to be focussing on getting the products out rather than spending that time in emails. It would just be good if they could get through more emails in their non-business hours. - which is what makes it even harder for FeedMeTrance on this side of the globe.
FeedMeTrance, I'm sure you've already done this but check your Junk Email folder - sometimes during my long wait I had emails that had bounced back land up there, with me just thinking I'd sent it but in fact John hadn't received it. The other strategy is to send a copy of the email via the Livewires website enquiry form - that sometimes got me a response within 2-3 days rather than the sometimes longer wait via the email system (sometimes my emails got to their server but were autofiled as spam by the server - blasted servers But the enquiry form messages always got through. ).

Can you give a quick (or long, if you so prefer ) comparison between your LiveWires and Shure SE530PTH?
