klipsch x10 vs. x5
With the x10 avaliable for $211 on amazon and the x5 at around 200 online, i am torn between the 2. has anyone heard both and can share their impressions?

From what I've read the X5's are a tad bit bigger and more balanced than the X10's which are supposed to be more bass oriented. I would say if you're looking for something with better bass, go with the X10's - and if you want a more balanced sound go for the X5's. Keep in mind I haven't heard them though, this is just what I remember reading from previous comparisons I have seen on the site.

THe bass on X10 are just fine. If anything, i wish they had a little more mid\high bass to complement their excellent low bass.

Not with the X10s. Don't waste you cash. Needs a more neutral, higher-quality amp. In fact, I feel the X10s are fine without an amp.

No problem. I really have a hard time hearing a major difference when amping the X10s, even with the MBE+, my best amp.

so the x10's and x5's really don't improve much with an amp whereas something like the custom 3's would?

The X10 works well with the Move, but they have rolled off bass at the lower end. The X5 work well with the Fuze and o.k with the D2. The X5 is my choice.
