You'd probably love it. I plugged them in and walked into the gym last nite and it was blasting my Exercise playlist (mix of fast dance/hiphop tunes) and went on treadmill. 25 minutes later, wife says she's had enough and I finally yank the SuperFREQs out. That was when I heard the whine of the treadmill motors. It was LOUD and shrill and horrendously monotonous. Was glad to put the SuperFREQs back on!

Just ask if they do silicone ear impressions - not the ear mold. It should be free if you're a Costco member.

It's the ones for hearing aids/

Like he said, should be free for mmembers.

Use the UE instructions. Print them and take them with you. I don't have the link, but google it

I think it really depends on the store and the person working the department. I am the one that posted it originally. Locally 2 stores will do it, and one said he can't because he has no way to charge....

I'm not sure how the free part works. We don't have Costco in Flagstaff. I went to a local audiologist. See the post above this about Costco.

Yes you want silicon impressions, but make sure to take the UE instructions with you. I, and others, think this is the best method to do impressions for custom IEMs.

Well, like the BORG said: "Resistance is futile!"

I just placed my order for the SuperFreQ's. Clear interior, black exterior, over the ear cabling, and the $10 for the warranty (great deal in my own opinion!).

I have been trying to decide between the LW and the SuperFreQ, but from several reviews here, it seems that the LW's have a "tad" less base than my current reference, the UE Triple.Fi 10's, so I decided to get the SuperFreQ as it "should" have a little bit better base and be closer to my Triple.Fi's based on the earlier reviews. This is all relative, but given FreQ's 30-day fitting guarantee, and their generous return if not satisfied warranty (minus 10%), there is little to loose, specially now that they are doing a much better job finish-wise.

I am of course going for the custom impressions for these baby's, so I will be calling this Monday to make an appointment with my local audiologist ($25 for the set).

are you guys sure that the impresions are silicone? I wanna get them at a professional place, Ive called costco but they don't understand what I want to do and I dont think they will let me just get impressions because they do hearing aids. I asked if I could get silicon impressions for my hearing aid but I dont wanna buy the hearing aid and they said I would have to go through where I got my hearing aid and talk to them or something. They are confusing the **** outa me. im just giong off that thread that someone said they were able to get impressions from costco for memebers for free.

Anyone know a cheap audiologist in Sacramento/Folsom california area???

Elluzion,

I couldn't get Costco to do anything for me either. They said they only do it if you're buying a hearing aid from them.

Actually, I think it's OK for them not to do it for free, but see no reason they don't want to bring in some extra $$ to help folks like us out. I ended up using a local audiologist.
