Bass boost Mod discoverd for Atrio M8 by mistake...!!! "I will go deaf soon"
My Atrio's arrived yesterday and when i saw the pack i could tell that something was wrong "The box was crippled". I ordered from collage but never had i taught that the box get sat on or something opened the pack to find the M8's in a broken position....
Since they came all the way from America and there was no way i could get replacement because of physical damage. I sat at my desk took out my GEEK Belt with the Solder Iron, etc...
The housing of one of the ear case was cracked and the wires were torn off the driver's assembly...
First i soldered the wires to place but the solder wire i had was that high temp. one so i had to keep the solder iron in the same place for a while and after i fixed the ear module. I heard "Satisfaction" the bass was like OMG aaaa lovely my Bass Freq can take a bi time break..
But i was quick to note that the R Module had more bass and little more mid happy then my L module took the Bass freq out and compared and the prob. was not in my ZEN...
Turned out that Solder iron had somehow given the driver unit some extra bass some how?? So after burn it 10Hr's they sounded better but the more bassy R module remained...
So here is where i got balls of steel, opened up the other L Module and just kept the soldering iron on near the joined and let it be till the driver was warmish..!!!
Next i prayed to god and started the player and it worked ahahhaahaaa... I am still thinking how did it work and if anyone knows how a solder iron with a flat head can affect bass??
BTW still the R module is more bass heavy than the L module and in certain songs there is a metallic bass from the R module!!!
