ACS T1 Custom Triple Driver IEM
Hi:
I don't think there's a thread on this, and I sort of came across it by accident today when I snapped the cable on my Acs T2s
Advanced Communication Solutions - ACS T1 Custom Triple Driver Monitors - SRP £649
Anyway, above is the link for the triple driver custom iem from ACS, it suddenly materialised along with the new look website. Though there is not much information on it at all as it's new.
Anyone heard it yet? And anyone going to buy it?

Exactly. Weirdly enough, though, it doesn't look gold plated.

Very interesting. So it's finally arrived, and I've waited a year and a half for them. They're cheaper than I expected, but still very expensive. I believe it is a unique product though, ie the only soft silicone molded 3-way, triple-driver IEM.

It's a bit of a gimic, the gold-plated ones. It's very thin plate anyway and protects against corrosion, nothing else. That said, the Neutrik plug is ridiculously bulky and inelegant. The normal plastic one they used for mine was good enough and if I were to order the T1, I would probably ask them to use the old ones.
The following are two official pictures found on the T1 page:
Why is the first one missing the funny wiring? Also, the mid-range/bass driver seems to be smaller in the first picture than in the second. This leads me to believe that the first one is actually a picture of a T2, not a T1 (and I'm pretty sure of this). It's awfully confusing for observant and pedantic consumers when they use a picture of another product to illustrate a point eg Teflon wiring, personalisation, etc... If you flip between the T1 and T2 pages, you'll see certain pictures being reused and it's IMO very misleading.
Anyway, enough with the bitching. So who's going to take the dive

But the price is completely off IMO, a good competition for Westone and UE (pricewise)...

Their website is really clean and tidy, but the lack of information for such an expensive pair of IEM is really not encouraging. Plus there is only one real photo on the T1 (the rest are mock up T2 photos as mentioned by milkpowder).
It is also really strange that they offer the T1 with a 2.5mm jack instead of the more common 3.5mm. With the 2.5mm -> 3.5mm adapter on the already bulky Neutrik jack, the whole thing must look ridiculously big.

I'm pretty darn sure they'll change it to a normal 3.5mm one if you ask. It would make no sense otherwise.
I would be tempted to plonk down the money for one, if I had any Soft molds are very comfy and if these sound better than the T2, then they are winners already. The $400 premium over the UE10Pro is unfortunate... but the T1 is 3-way vs the 2-way UE10Pro and most important of all, soft silicone! Non-EU buyers can divide price by 1.175 because you guys don't need to pay VAT so that drops the price to $1.1k. Not too bad if you ask me!

You just love soft mold, don't you?
I am not so sure about the non-EU price cause the import tax on such an expensive item will definitely goes through the roof, well, in my country at least.
