Default WTB - a new cable for my SR80 (details inside)

First of all, Hello Head-fi!. I am a regular at arstechnica.com and the links back to this site give it an instant respectability in my head Also - I have references on the Arstechnica.com buyer / seller review website under the usrename esposj. (www.beerology.com)

Ok,

The wires inside my Grado SR-80s broke so I decided to fix them. I installed sub-mini jacks into each speaker since I am tired of having headphones break when I get clumsy. Now the problem.

I cant solder the damn sub mini plugs onto the cable. Each cable should have a sub-mini plug with the base of the plug being the common. I would like it terminated in a 1/8" straight plug and be aproximetly 4' long. I wouldn't mind sending out the grado cable that I have, but we can discuss that.

thanks!
Joe

You might want to try posting in the DIY forum, maybe someone there can help you out.
