Default sold: Grado SR-325 walnut woodied & leather headband

sold

Up for sale are a pair of walnut woodied Grado SR-325 (wood work by en480c4). Accepting offers by PM, will ship internationally.

I did some comparisons before (aluminum cups) and after adding the wood. And the wood makes a very nice improvement to the sound. Tonally they sound more neutral, and with bowl pads still have plenty of bass. The high end is much tamer and long term listening is more enjoyable. I believe a lot of it has to to with the much larger chamber and removing the metal. If anyone wants to try an interesting experiment try listening to any Grado without the plastic/metal outer chambers and see how much the sound opens up. These are very special headphones and I'll miss them, but certain individuals have convinced me that I need a large pentode amp that doubles as a heater for my Stax, so the usual fund raising ;p

The headband is the original Grado leather headband. And the silver paint on the "L" and "R" is almost fully intact. And as the pictures show the headband has never been bent out. They come with bowl pads. Non-smoker, no pets.

My feedback is here.

Here are the pictures, the wood grain is as interesting as the pictures make them out to be. It's hard to photograph with my camera (have to use flash), they look better in person.
