Up for sale is a set of AKG K340 headphones which i bought long ago now - i cannot afford to keep so many headphones any more (time and money) so they've got to go. There are many good things and one bad thing to say about them.
EDIT: To make it more clear, in case it isn't from the "bad" section below, these are sold as defective, since they can be said to be so with high probability.
The good:
- Excellent frame condition, little to no wear.
- The headband works fine - elastic bands afaik are original.
- The earpads are soft pleather also with no visible wear.
- Has never been in a smoking environment.
- This is the non-bass heavy version with red driver enclosures inside
The bad:
- I don't know if it is just my SDS Labs amp which isn't up to it - but the treble does cut out sometimes in both left and right channels. When it happens (and often it is rare), it is quickly brought to life again by slightly changing the volume.
Thus - i don't know if they are defective, or my amp is not up to the job. Unfortunately i have no other means of testing it, which i can rely on at all.
Modifications:
- It has been modified to a dual-side cable and terminated with a Neutrik 1/4" TRS jack.
- The foam inside is also removed as per one of the mods on the board.
