I'm on the brink of ordering the xb500s but I've read that they have a certain amount of sound leakage..

Is it completely unusable in, say, a library? Even with reduced volume?

Personally I love the design, but no sound leakage is absolutely crucial for me.. (the reason why K601/K701s will remain a dream, no matter the price :triportsad:)

Hello!
I would like som advice on what equipment i should be getting?
Got the Musiland 02 US and AKG 240s atm.
I guess the musiland is fine as source or would u guys rather use it as an usb spdif converter? Havent really never understood the thing about those converters. Do they really do that much of a difference?
My budget is kinda limited aswell so what i was thinkin is that keepin the musiland as source and skip the whole usb spdif converter thing and then get an amp and a better set of headphones...
AKG 701, denon 2000, sennheiser 650 or maybe audio technica.
Except for the headphones which is in the pricerange im looking for. I was thinking a good amp for around 200-220 $.

Really appreciate the help guys!
Thanks

for sale is a pair of ETYMOTIC ER4S headphones in the original box. included accessories are the 1/8" to 1/4" gold stereo adapter, the filter changing tool, the clip, and 7 pairs of new sealed black foam tips. not included are the white flanges, as i have personally used them, and it would be unhygenic to resell them. not to mention they can be extremely uncomfortable over time. the foam tips are a much better combo of sound quality and comfort.

this pair of headphones has been babied and only used at home with my stereo. at the price and quality of these headphones, i have never dared to bring these out to use with the ipod.
shipping from NEW YORK. 140$ SHIPPED CONUS. inquire about international shipping!

Hey, I currently use my DV 336i with my hd600's and will be upgrading to the new figaro 332S amp when it comes out. I have used the sr325's for less than an hour since i've had them, they just don't get my attention with the darkvoice. I know the darkvoice is suited for high impendance cans like the hd600's and so on. Should I get something like the little dot I+ just for my sr325's? or should I just wait and see how the new 332s responds to them (I'd think it would be similar to the 336i) Just to add, I DO like the grado sound and these headphones ARE for me.

so....

Hi,

I'm currently using a 2503-10u advanced dock with my thinkpad(w500 =D) Lenovo Support & downloads - ThinkPad Advanced Dock - Overview

It has a pci-e slot in it (only 1x speed though, I think), and that slot can only be half-profile length and height.

Any good sound cards that match such criteria?

thanks

I have a set of Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO 80Ohm that I am looking to sell or trade for a pair of high quality IEM's. I bought these slightly used off of another member in these forums (boozcool) at the start of March 2008. They are in near mint condition (a few extremely tiny scuffs I can't even see right now) and haven't been used too thoroughly. I'm only selling them because of the lack of use, and my Shure SE210's are past warranty by 6 months and finally starting to break. I live near Vancouver, Canada, and would prefer to sell them locally/nationally, but I will ship them to the US at your expense. I will not ship them to Nigeria. Ever.

I'm also not too sure of a selling price, so hit me up with some offers. If this is against forum rules, please let me know. Also, payment methods can be worked out via PM if someone is interested in purchasing them.

Have a good day all. :dt880smile:

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but...

I recently ordered some Alessandro MS1i's, which should arrive shortly. I'm not really an audiophile, and don't plan to use an amp or anything, mainly 'cause I can't afford it. Would I get better sound quality using the onboard audio from my Gigabyte EX58-UD4P, or from my brother's crappy Creative Audigy SE 7.1?

Thanks in advance for the help. :D

Windows 7 by the way. I heard creative has driver issues...

I'm not an electrical engineer (hobbyist at this point, not gotten to the electronics sections of my major), so I'd like to verify this information before I dump a bunch of cash into boutique capacitors.
