D-EJ626CK

The Sony D-EJ626CK is a Sony PCDP that was released in 2000.

Most controls are on the top:arranged in a half-circle style, along with a nice blue backlit display that's missing from my other models.

The stop button is dual-function:stop and battery...

Hiii.

Well, this is something different.
My boyfriend is practically addicted to this place, so I thought I would check it out.
It seems like a chill place, but I don't know anything about all that headphone stuff, except for what he tells me. =]
We're gonna go to that thing on the 18th in LA and Can Jam.
It'll be fun, plus we went to that DXC store and I got to try out all kinds of crazy, ugly, mind blowing headphones.
=]

Bad music

Posted 09-28-2008 at 06:03 AM by LFF
Often many people disagree over what makes music good. A famous comedian once said that good music what *you* listen to and bad music is everything else.

In my ever expanding quest to hear more music I have resorted to many options to expand my aural pleasures and dislikes.

What a surprise it was to come across an old vinyl record that specifically presents bad music.

Sony D-EJ011

Sony D-EJ011: A in-depth review by A.A. Fussy

This will be a multi-part review-so photos will be in the final part

Part 1-Introducing the D-EJ011
There have been a lot of CD Walkman and before that the Sony Discman models released from 1984 until late 2006 but today there are no newer models.

All in the family

The D-EJ011 is such a example-being notable for being a part of the last new series of basic PCDP's by Sony....

Today SONY announced Extra-Bass(XB) series headphones and IEM for basshead, mainly for dance, hip-hop lovers.
XB cans share "direct vibration structure" technology, that the key is to improve the sealing and increasing the air-pressure in the housing chamber. The housing itself is tightly sealed as well.

Long awaited SR71A has arrived

I have posted a quick impression on the forum.
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/4772227-post82.html

My first headfi experience was SR71. It was almost three years ago.
At that time, SR71 was already a popular amp among head-fiers.
And this time I...

ESW10JPN announced !

Posted 09-22-2008 at 02:40 PM by Sasaki
Yes, it comes finally.

I made a post on the forum as well, have a look to see news release.
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/4763427-post28.html

I reserved one for mine impulsively

Seems like the urushi(lacquer) paint and new driver is the major improvement from ESW9. I think this is the first JAPAN model for portables. The urushi-lacquer painted craft is an old traditional of Japan, hence the name comes from.

Updated 09-20-2008 at 01:38 AM by Sasaki
DENON D7000 was aimed to release around this weekend, but the release was slipped into the mid of October.
Reason is some manufacturing problem.

Updated 10-02-2008 at 11:34 PM by Currawong (MORE pictures!)
**NOTE**: This is very much work in progress. It needs pictures and a section about installing opamps and HDAM units. Please leave feedback in the comments. Also, beware that prices may change/be wrong.

What is the ZERO?

The ZERO is a Digital to Analogue converter (DAC) and headphone amplifier/preamp made in China that has become popular on head-fi.org due to its low price (US$99 for the basic unit) and that it can be upgraded for around the same amount for a huge...
