I can't believe it's been only a month since I've looked at my HF blog. I've just been buried with all kinds of things lately.

Hopefully, I'll get all my loose ends tied up before I go off on a cruise with my bowling teammates for roughly a week, but I've got a little bit of time before that happens.

There's just so much going on in life that I cold get excited about, and yet, I have no content for my personal blog, let alone my HF blog. But you know what? I'll try to keep both going.

And if you are curious what I'm listening to right now... "Nature Trail to Hell" - Weird Al Yankovic. Hells yes.

Wow.

I guess I forgot about this blog. I hate when I forget to update things like this. I've just been been busy with things like getting Head-Fi email notifications working. I think everyone should be getting their emails now. Here's to hoping, anyway.

On the HF/Audio note, I'm having major issues trying to acquire the Apple Lossless version of the new Nine Inch Nails album. I paid, but now my download link said I've exceeded my number of downloads.

Since I never managed to get 2% downloaded, shouldn't I be able to? Come on, Techies of Trent Reznor!

That's all I've got right now.

Halloween

I'm really trying to keep updating my Head-Fi blog, as well as my other blogs, but I really haven't had a whole lot to talk about lately.

So......

I'm really trying to keep updating my Head-Fi blog, as well as my other blogs, but I really haven't had a whole lot to talk about lately.

So... Halloween.

My favorite holiday, I think, although I haven't had a lot to do with it in recent years. My father goes crazy with his decorations, but he loves to decorate for the holidays. His Christmas yard set up spans the front and back yards of his double lot, and takes at least a week to set up. You'd think he had one of those crazy lighting setups that changes with music... but no.

I've found some great ideas for next year's Halloween, and I think I'll start on them in the summer months, but after buying my first house, I wasn't ready for exactly how much money it'd cost. Now, I need to make sure I plan well.

This year, my Halloween extent will be the Halloween party I went to on Saturday, and then passing out "candy" to the kids. I put "candy" in quotes because I'm not actually passing out candy. I'll probably be giving out cans of generic brand pop/soda. That way, everyone can see if there's tampering (which I don't do) and if I don't have a lot of kids, I can save it for guests who come visit me. I'm also told the neighborhood doesn't get many kids, as most of the kids leave Detroit and hit the suburbs.

At any rate, below is me in my Devil costume, taken via my cell phone (LG8300). Good times were had, and much beer pong was played (and won... 8-1!)

I've been on a Seattle kick musically, lately, but somehow that led me to a truly phenomenal band -- HUM.

HUM only had one radio-hyped song, "Stars", but its through that song I was able to explore what I could of their musical catalogue. They have a great way of constructing their music which makes the lyrics shine, even if they are buried in distortion or resounding tones.

Just awesome.

So, here's my first Head-Fi blog.

I've actually been blogging for years, but everything has been "donated" to bit heaven, as it were. I maintain a few other blogs -- joecwik.com, which is my place to talk about anything, an LJ, and a few other scattered blogs across the net that rarely ever get returned to on a daily basis.

So, it's random post time.

It's a quiet day here in the Head-Fi offices, but that can be a nice thing. I'm listening to Nirvana's "In Utero" on my 5G iPod through the Corda Headamp 2 - MkII (as it's printed on the back) and some Sennheiser HD205's. For some reason, it feels like the perfect day to use these cans.

The weather outside is a bit gloomy, but the temperature is perfect outside. All I need now is to drive down to Cedar Point for some Halloweekends fun and maybe hit some haunted houses.

Good times.
