The season of Sakura

Posted 03-30-2008 at 02:09 PM by Sasaki
Here comes the season of Sakura. Sakura - cherry blossom is the nation flower of Japan.
Around the end of March to April, everywhere in Japan is covered by Sakura flowers.
This is the best time of Japan. If you are planning to visit Japan, I recommend you to take this season.
However, the period of Sakura is fairly short. The best time spans just one week or two as long. Sakura flower bloom so fast and drop so fast.

I went out and took some picture as always....

ZVM dead, iPod touch in

Posted 03-15-2008 at 11:48 PM by joneeboi

So I got an iPod touch now. I know I've said in the past that if I got an iPod touch, I would sell it right away to get an iPod video, IMO, the best portable digital media player in existence so far. Then when Best Buy didn't have an iPod 5.5G for which I could trade my dead ZVM, I settled for the iPod touch.

Now, the reasons...

Kenwood KH-K1000 auditioned

Posted 03-09-2008 at 02:53 PM by Sasaki
Today I went to Fujiya avic store to pick my HFI780 up.
At the store, I found Kenwood KH-K1000 demo cans and I tried a short audition with the demo.

My first impression was this is HUGE. But it fits good and feel comfortable.

As for SQ, simply put I'd say this is for Jazz and Classical type cans.
Not heavy nor overly energetic overall, decent and well resolved. Soundstage...

restoring portable hard drive OS. should be simple, but ned help.

Posted 03-05-2008 at 11:46 PM by Ryanws
so I had my portable hard drive wiped clean, the partition was deleted on it. I was able to recover the files and stuff from it but to use it again I need to install some software on it to be able to put the files back on and use it again. Do i just install a normal operating system on it? or is there some special OS i have to put on it...?
Many thanks in advance.

Using your head!!

Posted 03-04-2008 at 04:07 PM by LFF
THE WONDERFUL WORLD
OF
BINAURAL RECORDINGS

Part Two: Using your own head!

As mentioned before in part one, one way to record binaural sound is by using your own head.

This is as easy as putting one omni-directional microphone behind or near each ear. Usually the weight of the microphones should be enough to hold them in place but should they not...

Forgotten Blog / HF / NIN

Posted 03-03-2008 at 05:51 PM by joe
Wow.

I guess I forgot about this blog. I hate when I forget to update things like this. I've just been been busy with things like getting Head-Fi email notifications working. I think everyone should be getting their emails now. Here's to hoping, anyway.

On the HF/Audio note, I'm having major issues trying to acquire the Apple Lossless version of the new Nine Inch Nails album. I paid, but now my download link said I've exceeded my number of downloads.
