Default Help the noob, HD-280s or sony 7506s?

Hello

After looking at some old threads on here and talking to a few friends, I have decided on either Sennheiser HD-280s or Sony 7506s (same as the V6s, right?). I am after some headphones mainly for DJing, only a beginner at this stage but need better cans than my current Sony MDR-V200s, which are crap. I need headphones that block outside sound well, as I tend to mix with my headphones on all the time (unlike others who prefer the one-ear 'listening to the speakers' method). I tried my mate's HD-280s and thought they were brilliant - blocked out lots of sound and were so clear - my mixing improved immediately. I tried a direct comparison in the sony shop in christchurch between the HD-280s and the 7506s, and thought they were very similar, maybe the sonys being a bit punchier. I don't know much about headphones, but they both sounded great.

Anyway, for those of you with experience with either of theses headphones, which one would be better in the long run? I can't afford anything more expensive (like the HD-25s). I deal mainly with house (if that makes a difference) and want some headphones that will also be good with my discman.

Input welcome

And also, anyone know good companies that ship cheap to NZ? HD-280s are like US$250 here (!). Sonys are cheaper at about US$130
