My CD player gave up the ghost abruptly. For a short time, the remote would keep it going, but that stopped within hours. It's almost surely the 'ribbon' becoming dislodged or damaged.
I've removed the five screws from the back, there do not appear to be any other screws, but, I'm unable to open up the case to access the ribbon.
Suggestions?
