Help, tweakers! Speaker caps damaged
Dear tweakers  ,
I need to change the caps on my speakers. The midrange/tweeters are cracking with low frequencies (my speakers are ten years old). These are 1,8 microfarad electrolytic caps, I only found 2,2 microfarad locally. How it will afect the sound? Also, I'd like to try a crossover network but I donīt know how to translate the cap value to a crossover point (e.g. 2000 or 3000 HZ). Any help would be great!
