Don tells me that Sonett is a Swedish word for "so neat." It's not directly related to either the poem or the musical term "sonata", although those meanings seem to fit in some way as well.

EDIT: Additional info: it's phonetically the same pronunciation for the Swedish phrase "så nätt" meaning "so neat". Saab used this name for a coupe they did in the 60s and early 70s.
