You should just call the hotel and ask them. I'm sure you're not the first one to have a large rig that's staying there. I've seen some places with a special parking area just for RV's or if not, they usually "cone off" an area to reserve it for you (I'm sure they charge but so would an RV park). There's so many families doing the cross country road trip and LA is a major destination for that kinda thing that I'm sure it's nothing special. |
Not a bad idea. It was worth a shot anyway. I just called and the only parking that they have is underground. Obviously, some clearance issues there!
I asked if there were any other businesses within a mile of the hotel that might be able to accommodate me, but apparently it's mostly hotels and restaurants. I know from experience that if I'm creative enough, there will always be someplace where I can physically fit, but the issue is leaving it unattended.
Oh well, if nothing else, I can park out of town somewhere and come in to do a scouting trip. If I can't figure out where to park it nearby, then I'll just get a room.
Generally the best game plan is to avoid major metro areas altogether, or to use the Dodge or Atom to do any side trips. I'll figure something out.
