Been there done that, bass improved while everything else got worse. Took me a month to realize the HD650 weren't gonna change with burn-in and sold them. The HD600 are an all-around better balanced headphone, especially when run from a balanced amp. My RS-1 don't do the deep bass either, it seems only my closed cans can push out 16-25Hz strongly. With some electronica those notes are important and I just can't find an open can yet that can do those well, not even my previous pair of AD2000.
