Thanks for your response! FYI, the IIS data out pins on the Pop Pulse are as follows:

(with locking tab at bottom, from left to right, facing the faceplate)

1. n/c
2. LRCK
3. BCK
4. GND
5. DV+
6. SCLK
7. SDATA
8. n/c

So it looks like the Pop Pulse has a different pinout vs. the North Star DACs. Interestingly, there's the DV+ (5V?) and GND pins...

Anyway, thanks for your input! It looks like the best way to design my DAC/headamp is to have the pins switchable/configurable internally (via jumper wires or something) as there really is no firm standard to this.
