WTB: Woo6 tubes [6de7, 5ar4/gz34, 5u4g]
I have the opportunity to demo a WA6, thanks to the generosity of Jack at Woo Audio who is sponsoring our Head-Fi meet with some demo units and a door prize.
I would like to buy a basic set of tubes to demo the amp that would be better than the stock tubes, but not too expensive like the metal base rectifiers. I don't have a tube tester, so I need to know that I am getting a set that works well and won't blow up the amp. If I do buy the amp, I plan to use these tubes for my primary backup set. I am looking for near-NOS tubes, but I would be happy with used tubes as long as they have some life left.
Specifically, I am looking for...
- pair of RCA 6de7; and
- 5ar4/GZ34 or 5u4g rectifier
