I just ordered Red Wine Audio's new Isabella, which reportedly does an excellent job driving conventional cans (SLA battery-powered
tube preamp, with built-in NOS non-oversampling DAC & optional headphone output).
I'm looking to share a table with someone who can bring an Apple Macbook w/ lossless files, outputting USB. This will allow comparison of Macbook and Wadia 830 CDP with 'P' upgrade. According to Vinnie, the Macbook should sound better, which will make for an interesting match up.
Having recenly sold my K1000s, I'm interested to hear a variety of moderate priced headphones on the Isabella: K701s, HD650s, something comparably priced from Grado, etc.
