Please don't take this the wrong way, but are you really willing to use a 300-500 USD portable rig out in public? I know the public generally wouldn't know great headphones from a stick in the mud, but I really think you should get a pair for home, and a cheaper (but decent) pair for travel.
For use with your laptop, it is best to get a USB DAC. Search in the source forum for some tips.
You can then get a good, solid portable amp for both home use and on-the-go. You seem to have some good ideas as to which amp, but I think you should consider the possibility of theft. Even a portable amp will offer a better sound to a high-imp headphone.
