Default Pink Floyd cd - poor audio quality, any advice?

Short story: I bought Wish You Were Here through an online shop.
The cd has terrible distortion/clipping. This is especially bad on "Shine on vol. 1" from the point where the drums kick in, gradually getting worse as the guitar builds up to the first lyrics.

I played the cd on my Denon/Dali stereo using Sennheiser PX100 and Yuin PK2 head/earphones. Tested both amped and straight out of the cd player. Also compressed to mp3 and tested on my Sony 829 player.

The equipment is not top-notch but I never hear distortion or clipping on other cd's.

I assume I have the remastered version of the cd, once they are remastered that tends to be the new standard copy.
Last I heard it was years ago, most likely not the remastered copy, I remember it had great sound quality.

Does anyone else have this problem?
Any ideas where i can buy the non-remastered copy online?
