if you can get a HE-Stax adaptor cable, you should be able to open the bias line and add a pair of 9v battery in series to the bias voltage. This way there is no modification needed to the amp. Since biasing drains almost no current at all, that pair of 9v is basically just seating there, should last a long long long time.

(this is to add 16v to the 580v stax pro-bias so you get 596v for biasing).
