Certainly the title "Can Jam (insert year here)" is a lot snappier and easier to print/use than "(insert year here) Head-Fi International Meeting" or the like. And as with this Can Jam, such a description can always be used as a sub-title.

I suppose the only competitor for this purpose is last year's title "Head Fest" which aside from a certain campy insinuation, doesn't seem quite as snappy or fun sounding as "Can Jam" to me.

Of course, I'm sure some might want each year to come up with a new/original title. This could probably work for a while, but in the long-term I think it's quite possible we'd run out of useful possibilities.

So what does everyone think?
The fact that we have about 800 badge lanyards with the name CanJam on them without a year might be enough reason to keep the name. Uncle Wilson and Jaben/Crossroads were very generous in this and many ways, and it is certainly another reason to vote for keeping the Jam. Plus, I like the name better and it got a lot less flak than the HeadFest name that I myself coined.
