I love my 600 ohm DT880s. I have heard the standard 2003 model (not sure if those are 80 ohm or 250 ohm) and prefer mine muchly. Not a proper comparison though - also different equipment...

There is one consideration though. There is no point getting the 600 ohm model and then powering it off a Total Bithead. (Extreme example that I have tried; sounds like crap.) 600 ohms deserve a good amp with lots of voltage. Tubes are an excellent choice - also to warm up the tone.

Don't get me started on the synergy of the Dt880s with USB Monica. My DT880s were retired for more than a year in favour of Darth Beyers. Then Monica came along and my poor Darths are now mostly collecting dust. Monica + DT880s is Sweeeet!
