Proved that despite its huge size, the CD3000 can be shoved down one's throat.

sovkiller, pleasure was all mine. another thing i was going to mention which you already did was this. listening to "reference" cd's may highlight the excellence of the system but what happens when you come home and your poorly mastered slim shady recording sounds like absolute rubbish on that multi thousand dollar rig? take cd's that you actually listen to but listen to the music that the rig excels at reproducing. it will give you a better idea of what to compare between one headphone and another for instance.
That happen to me recently, I was used to the sound of my Axioms M3ti monitors, and a subwoofer, so I decided to upgrade to the best they have, the M80's, a floorstanders, very nice organic sound with good recordings, but a total deception at the beginning with the lousy ones. i said myself 100 times, I'm spending 1000+ to get this sound, no way, tried this and that, and asking here and there an finaly I realized the sad truth, being those speakers a lot more resolving, all critical defects show up, I need to learn how to deal with them from now on...but one thing is sure, ignorance is a bliss we do not have anymore, once you listen good, there is no turning back...

I do love the Edition 9, and probably you know what that means, so you have been warned...!!!

Disclaimer: Please assume every single of my statements, to mean: “in my system”, “to my ears”, "in my experience", “in my opinion”, etc...(otherwise stated).

Neutrality, accuracy? OK, just ask yourself first: Do you know for sure how the recording is supposed to sound? So for me euphony is all about!!! Please do yourself a favor, stop listening your gear, and begin to feel the music instead!!!
