my laptop has been with ibm for the past few days so i havent been able to update that list but i do have a few other things on paper that i will add when i get the lappy back.

sovkiller, pleasure was all mine. another thing i was going to mention which you already did was this. listening to "reference" cd's may highlight the excellence of the system but what happens when you come home and your poorly mastered slim shady recording sounds like absolute rubbish on that multi thousand dollar rig? take cd's that you actually listen to but listen to the music that the rig excels at reproducing a little bit as well. it will give you a better idea of what to compare between one headphone and another for instance.
