Really? I don't recall reading other findings like this.
I posted this thread when only my HotUSB1 was driving my HD580, and I wanted something to drive them better and louder.
I get better quality than my PC output with my HotUSB1 > HD580, but I could not get the higher volumes I wanted. I then took my HD580 to another level and with loud enough volumes with the addition of a uAMP107B like this: HotUSB1 > uAMP107B > HD580.
