Jam, a little while ago Fitz came up w/ a mod for the PROline 2500 high frequency. It consisted of three components: cotton inside the earpiece, a piece of scotch tape over the small holes in front of the driver, and a piece of felt over the metal shild in front of the driver.

I experimented w/ the last two above and ended up placing a piece of felt in front of the PL 2500. Now they are mellower and do not exhibit a lot of treble energy.

Maybe something similar should be done w/ the HFI-780.
