I think they are a much better value than Senn HD25-1 for a similar price, and if people want a closed and isolating non-sound-leaking portable CAN then these are a better choice than the SR-225 too. I prefer the sound of the 780 over both of those (they all have the soundstage issue, except the Grado and 780 are wide but not deep, and the HD25 are neither).
The comparison between the 780 and Denon D2000 is like comparing the AKG701 to the Senn HD650 - The 780 would be the quick fast sharp one, and the Denon is the laid back and softer edged one (except the 780 has the bass the 701 is missing, I'm sure you get the point).
Nevertheless, I like all of the headphones I just listed, I just don't want to own all of them. GASP! DID I JUST SAY THAT? The 12 step program is working...
