I had a similar experience with some cheapie bundled earbuds that came with a cheapie korean flash player (only $10 on black friday!). I wouldn't be suprised if their freq response is 200hz - 10khz but their openess was such a breath of fresh air from sealed IEM's that I couldn't put them down for hours.
