Yes I am interested in knowing the answer to that as well, especially since Andrew mentioned that the 390's were infact developed based on the 490. Does this mean that the 490's also had the same issue that the old 390's had?

Also, not the thread jack, but a related question, why exactly are the 490's 10$ more than the 390's when everything seems to be exactly the same. Even the accessories are the same. I don't see any difference in the specifications on the Maximo website as well, and the only difference I could tell was that the 490's carrying case has "Made for Sansa" print on it, and the earphone design is slightly different with a bulkier body.
